# FAQ

> Short, verifiable answers about tokens, trust, storage, verifiers, self-hosting and anchoring.

export const OSS_NAME = "qed-proof-core";

export const OSS_REPO = "https://github.com/Nuraveda-Labs/qed-proof-core";

### Does QED Proof have a token?

No. QED Proof has no token, and it isn't affiliated with any token or coin project. It uses a public blockchain only
to timestamp its log — a practice this spec calls "anchoring" (see [anchoring](/concepts/anchoring)). "POAW" (Proof
of Agent Work) is the technical name of the open receipt spec and the open-source node — not a product, and not a
token.

### Do I have to trust QED Proof?

Not for the parts that matter most. A receipt is signed and appended to an append-only Merkle log, and the log's
root is anchored on a public chain. Anyone holding a receipt can independently check its signature, its inclusion in
the log, and its anchor — using only the issuer's published public keys and a public RPC endpoint, never QED Proof's
own API. See [check a receipt](/concepts/check-a-receipt).

### What does QED Proof store?

The claim you submit (action, target, params, timestamp) and the facts a verifier reads at the destination —
identifiers, timestamps, status codes, and fingerprints. It stores fingerprints and facts, never the content of your
code, posts or messages. See [security](/security).

### Which actions can it verify today?

Six: `github.commit.push`, `github.pr.open`, `github.checks.pass` (GitHub), `x.post.publish` (X), and
`slack.message.post` (Slack), plus `http.url.status`, which needs no connector at all. See
[connectors](/connectors/overview) for what each one checks and requires.

### Can I run it myself?

Yes. The node is open source and self-hostable — the same code the hosted service runs. See
[self-hosting](/self-hosting/overview).

### Which network is it anchored on?

**Base Sepolia**, a testnet, today (`eip155:84532`). Base mainnet anchoring is not switched on. A self-hosted node
can be configured to anchor on a different chain, including Base mainnet (`eip155:8453`), but that's a fact about a
self-hosted node's own configuration, not the hosted service. See [anchoring](/concepts/anchoring).

### Is a verifier error ever recorded as `verified`?

No. Any error, timeout, missing permission, or rate limit at the destination gives `unverifiable` — never a false
`verified`. See [verdicts](/concepts/verdicts).

### Where's the spec and the code?

The receipt spec, the node, and the reference checker are all in the open-source <a href={OSS_REPO}>{OSS_NAME}
repository</a>, under Apache-2.0 (spec, `core-python`) and AGPL-3.0-only (the node).
